What if you shifted from media buying to evangelist hiring?
Seriously.
What if, instead of handing over marketing dollars to traditional media, you hired one person, one champion, who really gave a damn about your company. Someone who could tend to relationships, properly engineer your presence and manage it both on and offline, helped evolve and shape your strategies, and saw to it that your company’s principles and values were apparent at every customer touch point.
The owner or President or CEO can’t always be the person that does it all, but I’m fairly certain that hiring someone whose job it is to evaluate, strategize, and execute with both feet firmly planted in the present could do more for your company than continuing to feed media with nine toes still planted in the past.
Tall order? Sure. Impossible? Hell no.
