    Excellent compilation. To my mind, what comes out of this, is that Twitter means something different to each person that uses it. We all have our own reasons to use it, and there is some overlap in those reasons, and some uniqueness too. Taking a larger perspective, we see that it reflects humanity (or at least that portion of humanity that uses Twitter!) and as such represents a collective consciousness, or hive mind (if you are a Trekkie!). I have blogged on this aspect of Twitter, terming it panconsciousness, and believe it to be a psychosocial phenomenon the meaning of which we have barely an inkling.
