istock_000000108459xsmallSo, after all the discussion about marketing and social networking yesterday, I just wanted to share what I did to keep the conversation going. This morning, I:

  • reviewed and entered business card data from people I met
  • sent them an email invitation to our Tallahassee Small Business Brainstormers ning group
  • blogged on the ning group and linked my signature to my linkedin page
  • checked facebook to see if there were any comments about yesterday’s event. there were. i responded
  • i checked the democrat to see if there was a story about the event — it’s here
  • i posted a link to the democrat story on twitter — if you’re not following me, you can follow me here
  • i blogged here on my site and linked back to all the stuff i did — so you can see.
  • now i’m going to twitter the link to this blog post; post the link on facebook and the ning group; and I’ve got linked in set up to pick up this post as soon as i publish it.

It takes a little time, but the more you do it, the faster you get, and the more you create your own word of mouth, while providing helpful information to anyone interested.

What’s your morning-after routine?

So, first person to click on the contact page, select “coffee for your thoughts, please” in the dropdown menu, and submit an email will receive a 30 minute consultation to discuss anything related to new marketing strategies for the price of a tall black coffee at the Starbucks on Thomasville and Bannerman.
